The four answers most people need first.

BIGGEST WEEKEND

Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee, late Oct

The 40th annual edition ran Oct 23 to 24, 2026 on Georgia Avenue. Free admission and concerts, about 36,000 people in 2025.

BEST SUMMER WEEK

Peach Jam, July at Riverview Park

The Nike EYBL finals week. In 2026 it ran July 14 to 19, the 30th straight year in North Augusta.

BEST REGULAR NIGHT

A GreenJackets home game

SRP Park in season is the most reliable night out in town. Theme nights and fireworks nights sell first, so pick your date early.

BEST FREE HISTORY DAY

Colonial Times, third weekend of Oct

Living History Park, free both days. Reenactors, trades, and colonial games covering 1735 to 1785.

Every event and venue on this page is real and checked against the city, the venue, or the organizer. Annual events carry the month they usually land in and, where an organizer has published it, the 2026 date. Recurring events carry the pattern, not a promise: check the organizer or the city calendar before you drive, because a rain call or a holiday can move a single date. Prices say what we verified. Where admission is free, the page says free.

North Augusta runs on a smaller calendar than Augusta, and that is the appeal. One ballpark, one big recreation center, one downtown strip on Georgia Avenue, and a handful of parks carry almost everything. The year has anchors: GreenJackets baseball in spring and summer, the Nike Peach Jam in July, Colonial Times and the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee in October, and the tree lighting and Christmas parade in December. Between the anchors, Third Thursdays downtown and programs at the library and the Activities Center fill the ordinary weeks. If you are looking for what is on this week, the full CSRA events calendar lists dated events across the region, and this page explains the North Augusta rhythm behind it. For daily life, schools, and housing, the North Augusta town guide is the companion.

Annual signature events

These are the dates North Augusta plans around. Miss one and you wait a year.

GreenJackets baseball at SRP Park

The Augusta GreenJackets, the Single-A affiliate in the Carolina League, play at SRP Park in Riverside Village, across the river from downtown Augusta. The park opened in April 2018, holds about 5,000 people, and looks back at the Augusta skyline. A home stand is the default summer night out on this side of the river: tickets are modest, the concourse is easy with kids, and the team runs theme nights, fireworks nights, and movie nights on the videoboard in the off season. The GreenJackets have made the Dugout Theater movie night part of Jubilee weekend in October, with trick or treating on the concourse. Buy tickets from the GreenJackets and check the promotional schedule before you pick a date, because the giveaway and fireworks nights sell the fastest.

Nike EYBL Peach Jam in July

For one week in July, the Riverview Park Activities Center hosts the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, the championship stop of Nike's summer basketball circuit for 15, 16, and 17 and under teams. The city lists the 2026 tournament as July 14 to 19, and calls it the 30th consecutive year in North Augusta. The draw is real: the best high school players in the country and Canada, college coaches in the stands, and games stacked from morning to night in one building. If you like basketball, this is the best week of the year to be in North Augusta, and it is not close. Parking and crowds build around the big game slots, so arrive early.

Colonial Times: A Day to Remember in October

Living History Park is a recreated colonial village at 299 W. Spring Grove Avenue, open free from dawn to dusk all year. Its big weekend is Colonial Times, held each year on the third weekend of October. In 2026 that was Saturday, October 17, 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, October 18, 10am to 4pm, with free admission. Reenactors cover life in the South Carolina backcountry from 1735 to 1785: blacksmithing, musket firing, pottery, weaving, candle making, colonial games and dancing, and a trades faire where makers sell their work. The park runs smaller events through the year too, including a July 4th celebration, so check its calendar before you assume October is the only chance.

Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee in late October

The Jubilee is North Augusta's biggest weekend. The city hosted the 40th annual edition on Friday and Saturday, October 23 to 24, 2026, along Georgia Avenue downtown. Admission and the concerts are free. Food, rides, vendors, and the Kid Zone cost extra. The 2026 lineup put Tauren Wells on stage Friday night and Chris Janson on Saturday night, and the city said about 36,000 people came in 2025. Plan like it matters: get there early, expect Georgia Avenue to be closed to traffic, and eat from the trucks before the headliner crowd peaks. This is the one North Augusta event your out of town guests should time a visit around.

The December pair: tree lighting and the Christmas parade

December starts at Calhoun Park, 714 Georgia Avenue, where the city's Christmas tree lighting brings live music, fire pits, hot cocoa, and Santa to the park in the early evening. Recent years have put it on the first Tuesday of December at 5pm, and downtown follows it with a cocoa and cookie crawl through the shops. The Lions Club Christmas Parade follows on Georgia Avenue, listed for Sunday, December 6, 2026 at 3pm. Both are free. Together they do the job in one week: lights on, parade down the main street, season open.

Spring downtown: Spring Fest and SpringFest

Two spring events share a similar name, so here is the split. Downtown Spring Fest is the street festival run by North Augusta Forward and the Downtown Merchants Alliance, held on a Saturday in spring on and around W. Pine Grove Avenue, with 50 to 70 art and food vendors and live music, free to attend. SpringFest, one word, is the North Augusta Cultural Arts Council's juried art exhibit at the Arts and Heritage Center, on display from March through early May. One is a Saturday out. The other is a gallery visit. Both are worth it, on different days.

Recurring weekly and monthly happenings

The anchors fill a few weekends a year. These fill the rest.

Third Thursday and the UPBEAT Concert Series

On the third Thursday of the month, downtown North Augusta stays open late, 5pm to 8pm, with shops open, restaurants full, and live music placed around downtown. In fall, North Augusta Forward pairs the night with its UPBEAT Concert Series, with performers set up at spots like Cavalier's Coffeehouse courtyard, the Grove Gourmet Market, and Shoppe 3130. October gets a Halloween version with treat stops. There is no ticket and no plan needed: park once, walk Georgia Avenue, and follow the music. Check North Augusta Forward for the month's lineup, because the series runs in seasons rather than every month of the year.

Music in the Park in summer

The North Augusta Cultural Arts Council presents Music in the Park, a free concert series at Maude Edenfield Park, 400 E. Buena Vista Avenue, running May through July. The council books a mix across the season: beach music, bluegrass, big band, rhythm and blues, pop, and jazz. Bring chairs or a blanket. It is the easiest recurring night on this page to say yes to, and the one locals actually repeat.

Programs on the city calendar

The city's own calendar is where the small recurring stuff lives, and it is more active than most people expect. Recent listings include Twisted Threads, a monthly fiber arts meetup at the Nancy Carson Library, 135 Edgefield Road; Mahjong with Center Well at the Riverview Park Activities Center; and a Walking Group that meets on Friday mornings. Churches and civic groups post public events there too, including groups that meet at First Baptist Church, 625 Georgia Avenue. None of this makes a headline. All of it is how a town fills a Tuesday. Read the city calendar once a month and you will find one thing worth leaving the house for.

GreenJackets home stands and SRP Park one-offs

In season, a GreenJackets home stand puts games at SRP Park most nights of the week, which makes the ballpark the most reliable recurring event in town from spring to early fall. The park also hosts college baseball showcases, concerts, festivals, and the October movie night outside the season. If you only check two calendars, make it the GreenJackets schedule and our events calendar.

The everyday option: the Greeneway

Not an event, but the thing North Augusta residents do between events. The North Augusta Greeneway is a paved rail trail of more than 7 miles, a designated National Recreation Trail, running from the riverfront parks through Riverview Park and north toward I-20. It connects Brick Pond Park, a 40 acre restored wetland behind the Municipal Building, and Boeckh Park on the river at 501 Front Street. Group rides and runs start from its trailheads all year. When nothing is on the calendar, the Greeneway is the plan.

04

The venues where it happens

Almost every event above happens at one of these addresses. Learn the list and you know the town.

SRP Park, 187 Railroad Avenue

The ballpark in Riverside Village at Hammond's Ferry, home of the GreenJackets since 2018, owned by the City of North Augusta. Baseball in season, plus concerts, college games, festivals, and movie nights the rest of the year. It is the largest event venue in North Augusta and the anchor of the riverfront.

Riverview Park and the Activities Center, 100 Riverview Park Drive

The city's 149 acre park on the Savannah River, anchored by the Activities Center, a large facility built in 1994 with basketball courts that host the Peach Jam and Nike Nationals, racquetball courts, an indoor track, meeting rooms, and rental space for private events. Outside: fields, tennis courts, a disc golf course, a splash pad in season, a playground, and Greeneway access. Youth leagues, tournaments, classes, and community events run here all year.

The Municipal Building, 100 Georgia Avenue

City hall is also an event address. Council meetings and public hearings run on the third floor, and the building holds two venues people book and attend. The Palmetto Terrace, the fourth floor ballroom with terraces looking over the area, hosts wedding receptions, banquets, reunions, seminars, and Chamber events, with room for 180 seated with an open dance floor per the city. On the ground floor, the Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta fills 7,500 square feet with three galleries, rotating exhibits, a permanent regional history exhibit, and a gift shop of work by regional artists. Its shows and receptions are the steadiest arts calendar in town.

Living History Park, 299 W. Spring Grove Avenue

The colonial village run by the Olde Towne Preservation Association. Free and open daily from dawn to dusk when it is not reserved, with ticketed and free special events through the year and Colonial Times in October as the peak. Weddings and private rentals use it too, which is why the calendar check matters.

Nancy Carson Library, 135 Edgefield Road

North Augusta's branch of the ABBE Regional Library System. Story times, book clubs, and meetups like Twisted Threads run here on a monthly rhythm, and the branch posts its programs on the library and city calendars. It is the quiet recurring venue on this list, and the most useful one for families and new residents.

The downtown parks: Maude Edenfield, Calhoun, Brick Pond and Boeckh

Four smaller parks carry their share. Maude Edenfield Park, 400 E. Buena Vista Avenue, hosts Music in the Park. Calhoun Park, 714 Georgia Avenue, hosts the tree lighting. Brick Pond Park, the 40 acre wetland behind the Municipal Building along Center Street, is a walk and wildlife spot on the Greeneway. Boeckh Park, 501 Front Street in Hammond's Ferry, is the riverfront lawn with a pavilion and dock where small gatherings land. None needs a ticket. All four show up in event listings through the year.

Submit an event and get Friday's picks

Hosting something in North Augusta?

List it where CSRA readers already look. The CSRA Brief runs a free events calendar for the whole region, and North Augusta events belong on it: ballgames and concerts, church and school events, markets, fundraisers, club nights, and one-off gatherings all count. Every submission is reviewed by a real person before it goes live, usually within a few days, and listings are always free.

  • Submit through the event submission form. It takes about two minutes.
  • Send the name, date, venue, and a link where readers can confirm details or buy tickets.
  • One-off and recurring events are both welcome. A straight business promotion with no event attached is not a listing.
  • Approved events appear on the events calendar, and the strongest picks make the Friday newsletter.

Want the week picked for you?

The Friday Coming Up issue of The CSRA Brief lists 5 to 7 fresh events every week across the CSRA, North Augusta included, with prices, and never repeats the regulars. That is the difference between this page and the newsletter: this page holds the rhythm of the year, and the newsletter catches the one time events that land between the anchors. Sign up with the form on this page and Friday is handled.

Planning around an event

  • Ballpark and Peach Jam weeks fill parking first. Arrive early or walk in on the Greeneway where you can.
  • Downtown festivals close Georgia Avenue. Park on a side street and walk in.
  • Outdoor summer events in South Carolina get rain calls. Check the organizer the day of, not the week before.
  • Crossing from Augusta is quick outside rush hour, but event nights on the river back up both bridges. Give it an extra 15 minutes.

FRIDAY'S COMING UP ISSUE

This week's events, picked for you every Friday.

One time concerts, school events, and church gatherings do not wait for a guide update. The newsletter catches them, with prices.
